ITALIAN LANGUAGE & CULTURE RESIDENCY PROGRAM
Residency Applications January to March 2026 Now Open !
We are now accepting applications for our next Italian Language & Culture Residency Program kicking off in the New Year – January 2026!
If you’ve always dreamed of living “la dolce vita” and being more than just a tourist in Italy our Language & Culture Residency Program is the perfect way to have a real Italian immersion experience, make meaningful contributions to the local communities by sharing your native English skills and experiences.
The Residency is a 3-month live-in learning and cultural experience designed for native English speakers who want to live in Italy, connect with local communities, and gain practical English coaching skills. You’ll live in one of our medieval villages, receive full training in our Direct Method Coaching Program, and coach English for 15 hours per week as part of your certification pathway.
No — this is not a paid job or volunteer placement. It is a structured Residency Program with a €2,500 program fee that covers your accommodation, training, coaching materials, mentoring, certification, and 3-month placement in one of our village centres.
Your fee covers your apartment, utilities, WiFi, training, certification, coaching practice hours, learning resources, placement in one of our centres, and support throughout your 3-month stay. This allows us to operate independently without government funding or unpaid labour schemes.
No — you don’t need any Italian to join the Residency. Most participants arrive with zero Italian and pick up the basics naturally through daily immersion in village life.
No teaching experience is required. We train you completely in our Direct Method system, which is interactive, structured, and simple to learn. You’ll feel confident before you begin your coaching hours.
The test helps us understand your grammar foundations so we can personalise your training. Being a native speaker doesn’t always mean you know the technical structures of English — that’s what we help you master. There is no pass/fail.
You’ll coach in one-on-one or small-group settings using our Direct Method materials. Hours include speaking practice, listening exercises, pronunciation drills, and structured coaching — not grammar lessons.
You will stay in a private furnished room in one of our beautifully preserved Italian villages: Soriano, Vitorchiano, Orte, Vallerano, or Montefiascone. Apartments include heating, utilities, WiFi, and are located minutes from local cafés and markets.
You’ll need a passport, travel itinerary, travel insurance, and a police check from your home country. These are required for your safety and for working with minors.
Yes, as long as your schedule allows you to meet the 15 hours of coaching commitment and attend training. WiFi is included in your apartment.
Absolutely! Most residents explore Rome, Florence, Tuscan hill towns, markets, lakes, and other cultural sites on weekends.
You’ll complete an English Level Test, book your Residency interview, and — if accepted — you’ll receive your welcome email, contract, confirmation letter, and pre-arrival checklist.
It’s a practical coaching qualification earned through training + 150 hours of coaching. You’ll gain access to our books, materials, and method — equipping you to run your own online coaching business after the Residency.
