Viterbo – Tuscia, one of Italy’s best kept secrets!

The province of Viterbo, or Tuscia as it’s known to the locals is located just 80kms (50 miles) north of Rome.

DISCOVER & EXPLORE

Known for its unique blend of Etruscan and Roman culture, food and wine, this province is an extremely little known tourist area. Most tourists and visitors to Italy head straight to the major cities and well-known tourist areas, Rome, Florence, Venice, Tuscany, Umbria, Marche, etc. But Viterbo and its small towns and communities offer some of the most unique history, architecture, cultural traditions, food and wine in Italy and it’s all still unspoiled by tourists.

DIVE DEEP INTO ITALIAN CULTURE

Your children will hear first-hand from our local Italian teachers, who were born and raised in this area, about the many UNESCO heritage festivals and sites, experience virtual cooking lessons, festivals, games, and treks through some of the medieval towns and archaeological areas.

HISTORY TRIVIA

They’ll learn little known facts about the province, like did you know?

They’ll also learn many other interesting facts about the history, culture, agriculture and of course the food of our unique region!

About Our Camp

ITALIAN VIRTUAL SUMMER CAMP PROGRAM

Our program has been designed for both native and non-native Italian language learners. It encourages children to think about their own environment and use their non-native language to describe and present the topics. Your children will have the opportunity to improve their pronunciation and grow their non-native language vocabulary whilst interacting and learning with native speakers.

The program encourages the children to be creative and to put together presentations using both their native and non-native language. Where a word or phrase is not known or understood in their presentation the children will be encouraged to use their native language creating an environment for the native speaking children to assist and share their own knowledge of their native language.

Each day will focus on one topic, something that is familiar and interesting to each student. As we will have children from across the globe they’ll have the opportunity to share their own home and school environments and learn how children of similar ages live and experience their day to day lives.
